Kingston Plaza Refurbishments

Kingston Plaza student accommodation to be refurbished next month.

Kingston Plaza, student accommodation in Kingston town centre, is to be refurbished in the middle of February, providing students with new communal areas.

As students begin their search for next year’s accommodation and living spaces, Kingston Plaza, a private student accommodation owned by Fresh Student Living, announces its plans to refurbish their halls, providing residents with new amenities to improve their experience living there.

Danni, a spokesperson for the company said: "the refurbishment is due to take place on the 12th of February for five weeks, so completion is due on the 15th of March. We’ve limited the time to complete the works to five weeks so that it has minimum impact on the current residents."

Residents have been assured that they won't be any issues with interferences from building work, as the studio apartments will not be refurbished, however there is a constant line of communication between residents and management, giving them frequent updates, and will continue to communicate with them throughout the duration of the refurbishments. Danni said, "we know that the benefit of the works outweighs the five weeks it will take to complete this."

The refurbishments include a free in-house, gym for the residents only, a private dining space with a fully functional kitchen, private meeting spaces and a smart TV for residents to book out. As far as rent price rising is concerned, Danni explained, "we have only increased the rental costs by on average £10 a week due to the refurbishment, any other increase is due to current inflation increase throughout the UK, for example utility bills."

Kingston Plaza is open for studio room bookings, with rent prices ranging from £305 to £340 a week.
